#AskAg Twitter Chat: Dive into Resources from World Water Day

To mark World Water Day on March 22, USAID's Office of Water & Development, along with USAID's Bureau for Food Security, hosted an #AskAg Twitter Chat to discuss the water-food security nexus. The chat brought together a range of water and agriculture experts including: John Pasch and Moffatt Ngugi of USAID, Timothy Prewitt of iDE, Julie Wroblewski of JW Strategic Consulting, Mark Duey of Water for People, and Elynn Walter WASH Advocates.

The conversation centered on the following topics: water-related challenges in food production, technology innovations in water/ag, barriers to successful deployment of new ideas in water/ag, safe use of wastewater in irrigation, challenges of energy needs for the water/ag nexus, and case studies of innovative water and agriculture projects.

Read the Storify recap that captures the dialogue around these topics and explore some of the links shared during the chat that showcase best practices in water and food security.
