#AskAg Twitter Chat Recap: Intersection of HIV and AIDS & Food Security

As part of Global Health Month at USAID, last week we discussed the “Intersection of HIV and AIDS & Food Security” during our monthly #AskAg Twitter chat. The chat was sponsored through the Feed the Future initiative and hosted by the USAID Office of HIV/AIDS and the Livelihoods and Food Security Technical Assistance (LIFT) project. The chat brought together a range of agriculture and health experts including: Meaghan Murphy (@MurphyMeaghan), Food Security and Livelihoods Specialist at FHI 360; Kirsten Weeks (@klweeks), Global Lead, Health, Nutrition & Livelihoods at DAI; and Jason Wolfe (@jasonmwolfe), Senior Household Economic Strengthening Advisor at USAID’s Office of HIV/AIDS.

During the Twitter chat, the conversation focused on integration of HIV and AIDS and food security programming, target population/outcomes, the role of nutrition, economic strengthening, and more. Read through our tweet recap for highlights from the discussion, and explore some of the links shared during the chat below.
