#AskAg Twitter Chat Recap: Youth in Agriculture

Youth make up about one-fifth of the population in developing and emerging economies, and are the next generation of farmers, agri-dealers and extension agents. The November #AskAg Twitter Chat explored the future potential and challenges to youth involvement in agriculture while furthering dialogue around the role of youth in agricultural value chains. This online discussion was led by experts from various backgrounds and organizations including: USAID, Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD), the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU), and Penn State's UNESCO Chair.

This Twitter Chat brought together voices from around the world, each contributing to the global discussion about youth and their upcoming role in feeding the future. The list below includes resources shared by participants during the chat and a Storify with highlights from the discussion.
