Input Bundling: A Business-Led Strategy to Improve Soybean Yields

Event Date:
Jul 25, 2019
8:00 am to 9:00 am CDT
Online Event
USAID's Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Soybean Value Chain Research and partners

Will farmers more readily adopt agricultural technologies like soybean using a step-wise, or incremental approach?

If so, what is the first step? That is, what provides the most profit to a farmer from the least cost when planting a soybean crop?

The Soybean Innovation Lab's next webinar explores the lab's input bundle approach, where farmers might begin adopting, and anchor farms and input dealers might begin offering, a low-cost Red Bundle as a first step. With success, farmers then move up to the Yellow Bundle, and eventually the Green Bundle.

Join SIL on Thursday, July 25 at 9:00 a.m. CDT to learn about how bundling inputs can have dramatic effects on producer yields and incomes. Explore the essential components of a high-yielding soybean bundle, including certified seed, inoculum, fertilizer, and lime. Interact with panelists from the private sector in Ghana and Zambia who currently offer high-quality input bundles for their growers to boost soybean yields and improve their own profit margins. And share your own experiences with input bundling in soybean production.

Don't miss out, register now for the webinar!
