Online Course: USAID Land Tenure and Property Rights
Last year, over 1,600 professionals worldwide took part in USAID's free online course on Land Tenure and Property Rights. Now it's your turn...
Strengthening the systems that govern land, resources, and property rights is an essential step in promoting food security and agricultural development, among other development goals. For most of the rural poor, land is their most critical economic resource. For most of the urban poor, property rights are often a prerequisite to accessing improved urban services. Yet, nearly 70 percent of land in the developing world remains undocumented and large numbers of people remain vulnerable to displacement and loss of livelihood.
The course is free and open to current or future international development professionals. It features interactive discussions, lectures, and case studies from a wide variety of experts in the field. The training is entirely online and takes approximately 22 hours to complete. Register and begin the course at any time between now and April 1 - you just need to finish by April 15.
