#AskAg Twitter Chat: Intersection of HIV and AIDS & Food Security
Event Information
Please join us for the May 23 #AskAg Twitter Chat on the "Intersection of HIV/AIDS and Food Security." The relationship between HIV/AIDS and livelihood/food insecurity is bi-directional: HIV/AIDS can increase the vulnerability of households and communities to livelihood and food insecurity, while livelihood and food insecurity can also increase the risk of a person becoming infected with the HIV virus. We'll have a panel of expert tweeters to discuss approaches to improve food security for vulnerable households, particularly those affected by HIV/AIDS. We look forward to your participation!
This chat is co-hosted by the Livelihoods and Food Security Technical Assistance (LIFT) project. The LIFT project provides technical assistance to U.S. government agencies and their implementing partners in their efforts to improve the continuum of care for people living with HIV and other vulnerable households by increasing their access to context appropriate, market-led economic strengthening, livelihood and food security (ES/L/FS) opportunities. Learn more about LIFT at theliftproject.org.
