Pan–Asian Food Industry Virtual Office Hours
Event Information
COVID-19 has spread widely across the world. With few exceptions, almost all countries in Asia have reported cases of COVID-19 and are making efforts to cope with this pandemic. Several countries in this region are also experiencing record highs for the number of cases. In this difficult situation, the Nepal Development Research Institute (NDRI), in collaboration with the Institute for Food Safety at Cornell University (IFS@CU), is helping to dispel misinformation regarding COVID-19 and working to share strategies being used to mitigate and help prevent the spread of COVID-19 across Asia.
In this regard, NDRI is organizing the Pan-Asian Food Industry Virtual Office Hours, in collaboration with the IFS@CU, on May 27, 2021 at 1:00 PM (GMT+5:45) and invites you to attend.
The program will include (i) an overview of COVID-19 and Food Safety; (ii) a review of the current COVID-19 situation and the control strategies used by different sectors of the food industry in 10 Asian countries; and (iii) a facilitated Q&A session on COVID-19, where attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with experts in sanitation, epidemiology, microbiology, virology, and food safety.
