USAID Climate-Smart Agriculture and Best Management Practices Workshop, Honduras
Event Information
In November 2014, USAID staff, implementing partners and other key stakeholders representing ten countries within the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region convened in Gracias, Honduras for a four-day workshop. The Climate-Smart Agriculture Best Management Practices (CSA BMPs) Workshop was designed to bring together development specialists in order to identify and share CSA BMPs, as well as to enhance collaboration and create a network for climate-smart agriculture. The workshop included technical presentations, case studies, two field visits and group work, as well as various opportunities for knowledge exchange.
The workshop served as a starting point and a call to action in the process of mainstreaming CSA in different sectors and for promoting the adoption of CSA BMPs in USAID agricultural projects in the region.
