Agricultural Training and Education Systems in Nepal: Present Status, Challenges and Future Priorities
The Innovation for Agricultural Training and Education (InnovATE) project is a Feed the Future Intiative supported by U.S. Government assistance, with the mission to achieve sustainable food security, reduce poverty, promote rural innovation and stimulate employment by building human and institutional capacity. The program focuses on all aspects of agricultural training and education including: youth, gender, and workforce development, at the primary, vocational/technical, university and post-graduate levels. The purpose of country studies is to identify AET experiences, locate resources, develop the AET network, select good practices to build capacity at the institutional and country level. These studies are beneficial because they will help to build background information for pre-scoping and scoping activities and form a basis for the involvement of outside research.
