Policy Data Snapshot: Ghana

Date Published:

The Ghana data snapshot, prepared by the Feed the Future Enabling Environment for Food Security project, briefly highlights how Ghana faired on selected data relevant to USAID/Ghana. According to the Enabling the Business of Agriculture Index, at a high level, Ghana’s scores perform relatively well in fostering access to seed, fertilizer, water, and machinery. Areas of excellence are access to financial services and ICT. However, Ghana’s scores within sub-categories highlight burdensome time and costs for registration of seed, fertilizer, machinery, and constraints to agricultural trade.
The Feed the Future Enabling Environment for Food Security project is a global support mechanism for Missions and Washington-based USAID offices to address policies as well as legal, institutional, and regulatory factors that affect food security. The project is available to support Missions’ enabling environment needs through technical analysis, advisory services, and strategic knowledge management.
