Date Published:
August 11, 2016
The project team from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign has produced a final report on the six-year Modernizing Extension and Advisory Services (MEAS) project. The MEAS project worked with USAID missions as well as various public and private partners across 50 countries to build the capacity of extension service providers, which in turn will impact the outputs of close to 11.5 million farmers around the globe. Integration of disciplines such as ICT, gender, and nutrition allowed for a multi-faceted approach in pushing farmers' extension services forward. The final project report discusses the impact of MEAS, its key conclusions and recommendations for further strengthening extension services.
