Policy Data Snapshot: Liberia

Date Published:
June 7, 2018

This brief features selected data on Liberia most relevant to USAID/Liberia's Feed the Future work. According to the Enabling the Business of Agriculture Index, low scores in Liberia are evident in enabling access to seed, fertilizer, and machinery as well as in providing a legal framework for sustainable management of water resources. Sub-indicator scores highlight bottlenecks associated with technology imports and registration, as well as inadequate consumer protections. ICT and finance are two areas where Liberia scores more closely to the average across Feed the Future countries.
This snapshot was produced by the Feed the Future Enabling Environment for Food Security project, a global support mechanism for Missions and Washington-based USAID offices to address policies as well as legal, institutional, and regulatory factors that affect food security.
