AWE's Toolkit to Address Gender-based Violence in Agriculture and Market Systems Development and other resources

Gender-based violence (GBV) is widespread, affecting people in every country and across every industry, income level, race, ethnicity, religion and education level. It affects women’s ability to access healthcare, benefit from income-generating activities, participate fully in political and civic life and contribute to economic growth. The Feed the Future Advancing Women’s Empowerment (AWE) program has developed a “Toolkit to Address Gender-based Violence in Agriculture and Market Systems Development”, along with other resources:
- Toolkit to Address Gender-Based Violence in Agriculture and Market Systems Development provides practical, how-to guidance for agriculture and MSD project technical staff and gender and social inclusion advisors. This guide specifically focuses on GBV within the context of day-to-day agriculture programming. This Toolkit will be published in July 2022.
- Pilot Testing of the Toolkit To Address Gender-Based Violence in Agriculture and Market Systems Development: Learning Brief tells the story of piloting the GBV in Ag Toolkit with the Feed the Future Uganda Inclusive Agriculture Markets (IAM) Activity. (2022)
- Resource Compendium: Gender-Based Violence in Agriculture and Other Sectors provides a practical, easy to use collection of resources that contain tools for preventing, mitigating, and responding to GBV in agriculture and other sectors. This resource will be published in July 2022.
- Gender-Based Violence Resource List and Good Practices in Agriculture and Other Sectors captures and synthesizes existing GBV resources and promising practices in agriculture and other technical sectors. (2020)
