Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Legume Systems Research Announces Request for Concept Notes: Area of Inquiry 1

The Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Legume Systems is seeking cutting-edge legume systems research proposals for Area of Inquiry 1 - Integration of legumes into sustainable smallholder farming systems and agricultural landscapes. The deadline for submission of concept notes is May 20, 2019. For more information on eligibility and requirements visit our website or piestar.

The Legume Systems Innovation Lab will focus on three areas of inquiry:

  • Area of Inquiry 1 - Integration of legumes into sustainable smallholder farming systems and agricultural landscapes
  • Area of Inquiry 2 - Integration of legumes within local/regional market systems, including trade
  • Area of Inquiry 3 - Analysis of sociocultural and/or economic motivators or barriers to legume utilization at various stages and scales within production and market systems.

Calls for concept notes for AOI2 and AOI3 will be forthcoming.

A webinar will be held on April 16, 2019 at 11am Eastern Daylight Time in the U.S. (GMT/UTC -4 hours) to address any questions regarding the request for concept notes for Area of Inquiry 1. Registration is required.
