My job is to measure Aflatoxin and detect GMOs in foodstuffs intended for export to ensure that these products meet the standards of the country of destination. My activities are also oriented towards plant biotechnology, in particular the in vitro cultivation of plants of interest for agriculture. as part of the activities of my thesis I want to assess the degree of exposure of the Togolese population to aflatoxin B1 known as the most dangerous of mycotoxins. Two aflatoxin determination methods are used in our laboratory, the Elisa method and the fluorometric method.
