Food 4 All is a non governmental organization found on the 11th December, 2015, mainly to help promote upland farmers embark on both commercial and subsistence farming by giveing them seeds like rice, maize, pepper, okara,tomato,and onions and farm tools like hoes, cutlass, rainboots, tractors to transport their farm products, help them with storage facilities, also provide them with chemicals like fertilizers, insecticides and pesticides. My organization want to promote women in agriculture and provide them with agricultural education like how to mointor their crops from being damage by pest and other crop diseases, how to pick out maize diseases, tomato and pepper diseases. Help them with loans, and promote their passion of farming throw media and TV adverts, link their crops to the outside world.
The organization is targetting five communities within the Northern part of Sierra Leone, namely, Lungi community, Gbanty village, Conakrydi village, Samuya village, and Modeya comunities. All these area have vast of farm lands with enough man power but less support for them to cultivate and promote agriculture. The organization also want to introduce something call' Green Crop Day' This Green Crop day would take place every end of farming season to give out food scrops to communities people, markets in a way to show and extend the love and value of agriculture in a socity. The organization is doing this to influence more people to come into the aid of upland farmers in order to see what they are producing, also the green crop day will be for street kids, give food crop donation to charity organizationz to help feed the poor, Orphans and other disable across the country.
Members of my organization are mostly men less women ready to expand the interest of farming in the future.My organization belief in the power of agriculture to help reduce poverty, create jobs for the youth.
