David Evans

United States Consultant Independent Consultant

David is an Executive Leader in International Development with 38 years of experience. He is currently a consultant providing fractional leadership support and solutions to NGOs in all areas of organizational operations and management. From 2019 to January 2022, he served as President of LifeNet International. From 2013 to 2019, he worked as Senior Director for Innovation in World Vision International and Chief of Party in World Vision Zimbabwe. Prior to World Vision, Evans served for 22 years in Food for the Hungry, with his final three years as President and Global Executive Officer based in FH’s Washington, D.C. office. Evans has broad and deep experience in international relief and development leadership, management, implementation and training in the United States, Africa, Latin America and Asia. He has visited over 90 countries as well as lived and worked for more than 14 years in Chad, Bolivia, Zimbabwe, Burkina Faso, and Mali. In addition to his responsibilities in LifeNet, World Vision and Food for the Hungry, he has served on several boards including Christian Connections for International Health, Alliance for Global Food Security, Integral Alliance, Millennium Water Alliance, Adonai Partners, and the US Congressional Hunger Center’s Leland Policy Advisory. His educational background includes an MS in Agricultural Economics from Penn State University and a BA in International Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is fluent in French and Spanish in addition to his native English.
