Konstantinos Batziakas is a PhD student in Horticulture with emphasis in postharvest physiology of fresh produce in Kansas State University, Olathe Campus supervised by Dr. Eleni Pliakoni. Batziakas obtained his M.S. in Greenhouse Horticulture from Wageningen University, The Netherlands specializing in postharvest biology and physiology of Horticultural production and his B.S in Agronomy from Aristotle University Thessaloniki. His research interests are focusing in pre-harvest factors affecting postharvest quality, in modified atmosphere packaging applications for extending the shelf-life and maintaining the quality of fresh produce and effect on pre-harvest and postharvest interventions on produce consumer perception.
