Nirvana Pradhan
Nirvana has been in the Food Security and Livelihood/ Economic Recovery sector for over 10 years. She’s had the opportunity to work, learn and experience from the rapid and slow onset disasters, including protracted conflict contexts in the emergence of the complex challenges facing the agrobiodiversity of the food growers and producers; and social barriers facing women in realizing their livelihood aspirations and economic independence; and food and nutritional needs of their household. As a Livelihood/ Economic Recovery Specialist in Emergencies with WVI, Nirvana is currently working with her colleagues from Nutrition & Health on developing an approach to integrate Nutrition and Health in Livelihood/ Economic recovery in emergencies. Nirvana is from Bhutan, and currently based out of WVI, International Humanitarian Cty, Dubai. When she is not working, she enjoys bird watching and working in the garden.
