Samuel Duo

Dr. Samuel N. Duo is a citizen of Liberia, and earned his master's degree and Ph.D. in Agricultural and Extension Education on May 15, 2005 and 2011 respectively. He is the Head/Chair of Agricultural Extension Education Department, College of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Liberia. Dr. Duo has relevant work experience with World Bank Liberia as a consultant, USAID Food and Enterprise Development Program (May 2015 to Feb. 2016) as Component Three Lead, responsible for institutional and human resource capacity development. Those institutions included Nimba County Community College, Lofa County Community College, Grand Bassa Community College, and the Booker Washington Institute. Dr. Duo has professional work experience with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations as National Consultant on "Policy Effectiveness Diagnostics" with focus on "Food Security Impact, Resilience, Sustainability and Transformation (FIRST)." Dr. Duo has a wide range of work experience with government, civil society, and INGOs in research design, data collection and data analysis using SPSS and excel. Dr. Duo has research interests in mainstreaming gender and nutrition in extension work in Liberia, as well as promoting technology adoption research at the university level. He has passions for civil society organizational capacity development, leadership development, youth and women's empowerment.
