Samantha Croasdaile has worked in international development for over 20 years. She works at Encompass LLC as the Sr. Gender and Agriculture Specialist managing USAID’s Advancing Women Empowerment (AWE) Activity. She worked for over a decade in the field for USAID/Honduras as the Senior Communications Officer and Gender Advisor and for ACDI/VOCA’s Transforming Market System Activity. Other organizations served in her career include World Vision in Honduras and Save the Children in Westport, CT. 

Ms. Croasdaile is a founding member of the Fundación Proyecto Familia (Project Family Foundation) in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, which develops education materials for teen parents and youth focusing on preventing child sexual abuse, gender-based violence, and male and female empowerment.  She is the co-author of the book Me Amo, Me Cuido y Me Respeto; Manual para la Prevención de Violencia en Niños, Niñas y Jóvenes (I Love, Care and Respect Myself; A Violence Prevention Manual for Boys, Girls and Youth)

Ms. Croasdaile has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications and Public Relations from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, and a Master’s Degree in Marketing from the Honduran Technical University UNITEC. She is fluent in English and Spanish and has served as a translator and interpreter.
