Cultural Practice, LLC (CP)

United States

Cultural Practice, LLC (CP) is a women-owned small business working in four primary practice areas in international development: gender integration, monitoring and evaluation, agriculture and food security, and health. It has additional competencies in environment and climate change and democracy and governance. Known for high quality and responsiveness, CP’s technical expertise and management services support USAID and other government agencies, CGIAR, NGOs, universities, and other consulting firms. CP can mobilize experts who understand USAID’s approach to both gender and sectoral issues. The firm and its partners have worked extensively in Africa and Latin and Central America, and multiple countries in Asia.

Drawing on a mixed methods approach of rigorous qualitative and quantitative methods, CP has found that to achieve the greatest impact, it is necessary to understand the incentives, motivations, and needs of individuals, both men and women, and at the same time, to analyze the institutional structures that shape people’s choices. CP addresses the obstacles women and men face in their daily lives and identifies strategies enabling all to benefit.
