Zambia Livelihoods Officer Caritas Kasama

I hold Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Copperbelt University (2012). Currently working towards my Master of Science in Project Management with the Copperbelt University (expected June 2022). Moreover, I am pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership and Teaching Methodology with the Copperbelt University (expected June 2022). In this 21st century, I am equipping myself with cyber skills and I am pursuing Master of Business Leadership in Cyber Security and Risk Management with Mulungushi University (expected July 2023). I have a balanced work experience ranging from 6 years teaching experience in public schools to 4 years experience in coordinating a 4 year Zambia Food Security Program with Caritas Kasama funded by NORAD through Caritas Norway, with a focus of improving rural livelihoods through increased incomes and improved nutrition (SDGs 1&2) at household level. I have facilitated a variety of activities such as rainwater harvesting with Households in Distress (HID), energy efficient cook stove and briquettes with SUN24, emergency preparedness and response roll out with SCIAF, relief distribution of food and non food items to flood victims in Malole. I love research especially on Agro processing and Value Addition. Agriculture is part of me, I love seeing smallholder farmers grow to diversification and Agricultural Mechanisation. The 6 years teaching experience gives me superior skillset in facilitation. I have received specialized training in sustainable organic agriculture, food safety systems, HACCP, environmental management systems, water quality assessment, climate smart agriculture, WASH, result based management with Oxfam, transport and logistics with disasterready.org, nutrition, health systems, M&E with Global Health  eLearning Center supported by USAID in conjunction with Hopkins University as well as Food Systems with FAO.
