J Cyrus Saygbe Sr

J. Cyrus Saygbe Sr joined USAID in June 2022. Before joining USAID, from 2019 to 2021, Mr. Saygbe worked with Solidaridad West Africa as Program Manager for a regional agriculture project that supports agribusinesses through matching grants, productivity enhancement and Business development service provision.  

From 2012 to 2017, he worked as National Project Coordinator for a World Bank funded West Africa Agricultural Productivity Programme within the Programme Management Unit of the Ministry of Agriculture and later served as Team Leader from 2017 to 2019 for the development of a World Bank funded Smallholder Agricultural Transformation and Agribusiness Revitalization Project (STAR-P). 

Mr. Saygbe also worked for the United Nations Development Programme from 2005 to 2010 as Programme Associate and later moved to Samaritan Purse International Relief as Programme Manager from 2011 to 2012. 

Mr. Saygbe holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Public Administration from the Cuttington University Graduate School. He also holds a Project Management Professional certificate from the Project Management Institute in the United States of America.
