Joanna Springer
Joanna is a research and learning expert focused on resilience strengthening and measurement at the household, community, and system levels. She has more than ten years of experience carrying out research and evaluation related to economic development, social inclusion, community engagement, aid policy and rule of law in the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean. Joanna has led studies measuring market system resilience and inclusion in Somalia, Kenya and Haiti, and supports research and learning for USAID resilience activities in Ethiopia and Somalia. Previously, she piloted and adapted a social capital index for evaluating outcomes of community driven development in South Sudan and other conflict-affected countries.
